For it is God who works in you to will and act in order to fulfil his good purpose (Phil 2:12-13).

This implies that we simply are vessels and instruments in the hands of God. The willingness and desire to serve God and be morally good comes from God. And the strength to carry out what good we ever desire comes from Him as well. What then is our role as people? Do not silence the voice of God by failing to respond to the willingness to do good works. To do that, is to quench the fire of the Holy Spirit. we must realize that the urge to be kind to people is God’s working is us so that He would work through us. Naturally, the inclination of man is toward evil (Gen. 6:1-5, Jer. 17:9, Romans 3:10-18).

The willingness and desire in our hearts to serve according to God’s word must be given attention to. It is one of the fundamental ways to obey God and it is one the basic ways that God lead and direct us. Someone one may ask, how then do we differentiate human and demonic voices from the voice of God? There is rarely human voice in the affairs of mankind. Man lives 24/7 under the influence of either the Spirit of God or of the devil. We actually are not free to ourselves as we think for we have no choice from the influence of the two spirits. The persuasion of demonic spirits is impulsive; they are forces. They tend to dominate and control us leaving us without the option of willing obedience. While the Holy Spirit persuade us to believe and convince us so that we can cooperate with Him. While God, persuades to unity and cooperation, Satan, persuade to subjection and domination.
